AUGUST

Another normal month for us! lol- we arent very exciting people i guess! lol Codys brother's wife had her baby shower, and i helped throw it, that was pretty fun. Also my sister in law was in town for almost 2-weeks with our nephew, and we had them stay over a night which was a blast, eventhough jexi was sick- come to find out she had strep- but we took care of little tavon for her so she cld rest, and that was a blast! i got teary eyed just seeing how well cody and tavon played together!

The last monday of August i got a hair job at Great Clips, so this is my secon week, but only like my 5th day cutting hair- due to training days and me being out with medical leave for my foot. So far i like it! Also the last sunday of august, Cody and i got called to the Nursery! We r excoted to be called to doing what we love, I LOVE kids so of caourse i didnt hesitate to say no to the calling! lol. the only bad thiung is that we r new to this ward anyways and now being in the nursery, noone will get to know us. Oh well!

JULY

July was a very normal month! we had a good 4th of july, spent it with both of our families so that was nice. Cody and I did our very first 5k(ever) together and it went ok, ever since then ive been trying to eat healthy and keep the wait off! a week before the race i stopped drinking Caffeine, and now im happy to say its been almost 2 months since a nice cold Dr. Pepper went throught my system! ive been pretty good at not drinking pop at all either, but if i have a craving for caffeine, i just drink sprite and it goes away! LOL

4 years

This is one of our engagements taken about 4 years ago, in July sometime! lol Look how young we look!

Today, 4 years ago, Cody made the best decision and asked me to marry him!~~~ of course i made the best decision and said yes! I really cant beleive its been 4years! i love cody with all my heart and am so glad we have eternity together!

June

where do i start with june! June has been one of the toughest for me, personal wise. My mom had surgery, and so we were down in salt lake for 4 days to be with her.
my mom had been losing her hearing and getting headaches at the same time, so she went into the doc, so after multiple MRIs and such, they found a little tumor on the inside of her ear my her brain, so she made the decision to have this form of Brain surgery. she had the surgery on june 14th and came home the following sunday which was fathers day. She is doing good now. but the whole experience has strengthened me tremendously, thoughts just kept going through my head, and it kept making me nervous. The surgery itself took like 5 hours, but she spent 1day and a half in the nccu(icu), then spent the rest of her time in the natal icu(i think thats the name). She had the surgery done at the university on utah hospital, cause a doc here in town referred her to a sergeon down there! I was sssoooo nervous with this whole thing cause i mean for cryig out loud she had brain surgery, poeple kept telling me that it wldnt be as bad as i was making out to be, but i dont care what people think, to me anything to do with the brain is serious for me! but I'm glad she is doing good and the surgery went well.
While we were down in SLC, after mom was out of the NCCU(icu) on that friday, we went to little place that has mini golf and a batting cages, and so cody and i and my sister had to have a little fun considering the week we had(very nerv-racking and stressful not knowing what will happen) then our real dad met us in south jordan/sandy to have dinner! this was the first time my sister and him met for many, many years! all in all the trip went good.
That mainly was all that happened in june! Oh yeah, june was the first month with me only working 1 job. yep thats right, i quit mcds. after 8 years there, and me wanting a hair job, i just had to be done there! And Cody also quit a job, so yes, we r more of a normal couple now with 3 jos total instead of 5! lol

May

May was a fun month! Codys littles brother turned the sweet 16! its crazy to me cause when cody and I first met, he was only like 8, now hes able to date.....caarrrraazzzyyy! Then i also graduated! YAY, it was hard, tough, fun, etc, but most of all i learned alot and am so thankful no one let me quit last october when i wanted to. 2days after graduation, i took my practical test and passed also. Also my friend wendy got married and we were able to attend her temple marriage and her malad reception, we wish them all the best!

March and april

nothing much exciting happened in march, still work, and school!

APRIL

Cody's best friend, since like grade school, jordan and his wife had thier cute baby girl, so we went and saw her in blackfoot.

My good friend from hair school, wendy, had her Bachlerette(sp) party at school, it was pretty fun.

also, our yearly hair extravaganza was april 25th, and isu put it on this year, i entered 3 things but didnt place in any category, but thats ok because i still had fun! I wasnt expecting to win anyways.

On april 29th, i took my written boards for school and passed. i was pretty impressed with how well i did. but it goes to show u that if u let the lord help u with things then he will!

FEBRUARY

February was a fun month, i took a trip down to utah to attend my friends baby blessing at the first part of february. I stayed with brad and sid( my second parents) in SLC, then traveled to layton and back to slc that sunday for the blessing. Attending a baby blessing just isnt the same without cody :( but i still enjoyed the blessing. Cody stayed in poky cause he had just started his 3rd job so he didnt wanna ask for days off so soon.

Then i had a birthday. It was one of my best birthdays. Cody's sister, jexi, and her husband, caleb, and their son tavon were in town, so we had family pictures taken with codys family earlier in the day, then later we had my birthday party. We had both mine and his family there, and had some amazing friends come. I'm so blessed with amazing people to share life with. then later after the party that same day, cody and I celebrated Valentines day early, since we both had to work on valentines day.

We also enjoyed our dear friends, zech and Emiley, bless thier little girl josie, we r sad they moved to far away!

Februaury 16th, a year ago, grandpa passed away, it was bitter sweet day, bitter--cause i still miss him, and sweet cause i know he is not in pain anymore and i know i will see him again. Im so grateful for the plan of salvation!
